The province of BC has a population of 4.4 million people.  That’s just over half the population of New York city.

BC is the fastest growing province after Alberta, most of that growth seems to be happening in the suburbs.  While population growth for the city of Vancouver was just 4.4%, some areas like Surrey, Langley, Port Moody and Coquitlam saw growth over 100%.
