These tutorials have been created for anyone unfamiliar with or having little experience using a posting text editor such at that found at Vancouver Peak and with little experience in preparing web images and uploading them into posts.

The tutorials on first glance appear quite detailed; however, after being read and tested once or twice you will likely never have to bother with them again.

The tutorials were created in this order:
  • Posting 101 - Mastering the Basics: The VP Text Editor
  • Posting 101 - Mastering the Basics: Text/Post Formatting Tools
  • Images 101 - Mastering the Basics: File Size
  • Images 101 - Mastering the Basics: Uploading (Parts 1 & 2)
  • Images 101 - Mastering the Basics: Editing/Resizing with Windows ‘Paint’ (Parts 1 & 2)
These should get you up and running and anything added in the future will be tips and tricks that build upon this basic information.

It’s mentioned many times in the tutorials that VanPeak has a test area that you can go play in. It’s labelled ‘Test/Sandbox’ and is available for all members to practise using and experimenting with all the various forum tools. It is a perfect spot to test what you learn from these tutorials. You can remove any and all test posts by clicking the ‘Delete’ button (red cross) at the bottom of the post.

All the tutorial threads are open for comments or questions or if you have discovered a more effective or efficient way to accomplish a task then what is outlined in the tutorial that you would like to pass on. We welcome any and all input. If questions are posted, all members are welcome to answer them.

(We apologize for any and all spelling/grammatical mistakes in the tutorials. No doubt, they will be found over time and corrected. Don’t hesitate to send a private message if there is something glaring that is driving you mad…LOL).
