Is VCI down?

Yes. VCI is down. That site is a pig, it needs some cleaning up. We're trying to figure out if it's just sloppy coding or an intentional attack. We'll post a note on this site once it's back up.

If you haven't already, turn on database logging (BE SURE TO TURN IT OFF AGAIN OR YOU MIGHT FILL THE DRIVE) so that you can see how long it takes to run every transaction on the server. Then hunt down which scripts are running those queries. Probably need more indexes or you just have some really inefficient stuff in there, like queries inside loops . . .

The site seems slow in an non-linear n way, meaning it seems to bog quickly once it starts to bog at all.

This site is running all right, why don't you just move VCI to this site?

It is easy to make a sub site, then pointing your domain to the sub site, e.g. http://vancouverpeak.com/vci

then vancouverconfo.info goes to http://vancouverpeak.com/vci
